The finite element analysis software MSC.MARC was used to investigate the stress and contact pressure of O-ring rubber seals and retaining rings under different pressures. The relationship between Cauchy stress distribution, contact pressure and contact width, and the relationship between the arc length of the contact between O-ring rubber seals and retaining rings, oil pressure, and contact pressure were discussed under different pressures. The results indicate that the Cauchy stress of the O-ring rubber seal when matched with the retaining ring is mainly concentrated in the upper right and lower left parts of the retaining ring; The contact arc length between the O-ring and the retaining ring initially increases with the increase of oil pressure and finally maintains a certain value; The contact width between the O-ring and the retaining ring is approximately quadratic in relation to the contact pressure.
